If you haven't ordered a new cable yet, I found that you need the cable adjuster from the bicycle shop for the inner cable to slide smoothly. It looks like a hollowed-out bolt with a slice down one side, and you need to hone out the cable holder on the engine for the adjuster to sit in snug. I used the brake cable on my clubman and haven't had a problem with it catching. Best of luck.

Mark.

This is the bracket Ive got fitted to my inlet manifold, Ive run a drill bit through it to open it up a tad but no real difference.

Hanra,

I tried to get a photo, but I've got the mrs yakking on about mkr (annoying) - makes it hard to concentrate. Anyway, go to the local cycle shop, and ask for a brake cable adjuster. Think of it as an allen key bolt that has been hollowed out. It will then be able to sit through the hole in your bracket. You will see it near the brakes on a normal bicycle. If you have any problems give me a ring on 0408704215 any time outside of 12:00 - 12:30 - I'm on Qld time.

Mark.
