Do not use heavy grease (eg HMP) in the rack, it will slow it down in winter.
A bit of LMM molygrease works fine.

When refitting the wheelboxes, try and have the spindles 180deg when assembled from where they were. You are then using unworn teeth on the gears. Less flop in the wiper arms.

H2's right about fuel pipe. They used mini style wiper set ups on lots of vehicles/kit cars etc, because you could mount wheel boxes where you wanted them, the motor where convenient, then join the whole lot together. You could get different length cables and different arc angle links/wheels.
