I'm sure the doc doing it that way for 50 years!! is good enough, but it feels like it'll do the synchro coating stuff for 4th gear some damage, mine is missing bits as is
Simon, the shaft pushes on the
inside of 4th gear. The 3-4 synchro hub & baulk ring has clearance to the cone. Do try it...
