good work...

I just don't like the idea of drifting it out with the mainshaft... the slide hammer only takes a couple of clunks and it pops out.

I'm sure the doc doing it that way for 50 years!! is good enough, but it feels like it'll do the synchro coating stuff for 4th gear some damage, mine is missing bits as is

Nice work, I have an en engine and gear box that I will start to strip down in the coming months so its good to know how another novice has gone with it. And your not to far away if I get totally stuck !!! ;-)

Simon, the shaft pushes on the inside of 4th gear. The 3-4 synchro hub & baulk ring has clearance to the cone. Do try it... :wink:

yeah... I know it pushes on the inside, but it just feels wrong!

slide is set up and works for me
