Gears are different. They used the same case

The MK2 S laygear is 22G1040. First motion shaft 22G1371 has 18 teeth and also has an "S" stamped into the spigot bearing end of the shaft but can't be seen while the box is assembled. Diff ratio is 3.44 (18 tooth pinion, 62 tooth crown wheel).

The Mini K and Clubman laygear is 22G927. First motion shaft 22G1093 has 17 teeth. Final drive Diff ratio of 3.765 (17 tooth pinion, 64 tooth crown wheel) or 3.65 (17 tooth pinion, 62 tooth crown wheel)

i have amotor here with the casting numbers 12a 497 then the casting stamp just wondering if anyone knows what size it is
