Changed the 92C thermostat to a 82C one, at the same time put on a proper 1275cc top radiator hose.

Loaded up the latest firmware for the MegaSquirt ECU, of course the car wont start now!

Edit: Found problem, all OK now! :D

Rolled it out of the way (again) so I could work on the Hilux (again).. this time replacing a brake hose and overhauling a caliper.

Must say I'm rather pleased with this effort, one of the 4 pistons was properly seized. Didn't want to fill the thing up with grease (which I didn't have enough of anyway) to force it out, so I used the Mick Special Design hydro pump instead. 500psi of glycol into the argument had the stuck piston out easily :D Much easier to clean out the caliper afterwards, too... 8)

I think the Mini's getting jealous of all the attention I'm giving to the 'lux.. when I started her up to get back into the garage, she ran like a pig :(

Fixed (hopefully) the tailights not coming on, as well as the interior light.

I have completely re-done my AFR and VE tables in the MegaSquirt, so I've been out and about "Auto Tuning" it, again. Currently sitting in Maca's down in Point Cook feeding my face! 8)

Bodywork. I'd painted the front and roof, then realised the RHS guard had bog in it for a reason - a few ripples and dents which looked heinous. So I stripped the guard and bogged it. And I hate bog as much as I hate plastering a wall; I just struggle. But I persevered and now it's pretty much there. This time I'll primer it and guide coat it before I put the colour on.

Finally gave it the attention it deserved. Oil / filter change, cleaned the carbs & plugs, new air filters, tweaked the mixture, flushed & replaced the coolant and adjusted the clutch.

Still need to grease all the nipples, adjust the rear brakes, flush the brake & clutch fluid, degrease the engine and give it a good clean.. another day

Pulled out the front seats ready to put in new carpets. Will have to get rid of some rust and reprime beforehand though. Any suggestions on what to use as underlay as the old hessian was stuffed?

Spent another few hours profiling camshafts and checking valve geometry.

Not long now and I can do the final engine build :D
