I put slightly bigger main jets (160>168) in the 45 Dellorto.

More responsive now, so I might try 175s too.

Did a service on the Mini Deluxe last night and I think I have discovered a stuffed bearing in the diff.
Guess I will lift out the engine in my spare time and check out the damage. Gearbox rebuild is only 12 months old, so a bit disappointing.
Also discovered the steering column is slipping on the new UK steering rack.

Replaced the 40 year old cracked and broken plastic speedo surround on my Cooper S with another 40 year old uncracked one.

One step forward....2 steps back!

Got the temp gauge working perfectly as well as the fuel gauge - Wombat's magic regulator and a new temp sender....

Car ran like a pig as the throttle linkage nuts were not tightened properly, so balance the carbs again, wash and polish for Sunday at Zetland.....

Well on Monday, Tuesday and today, hauled the green car from FNQ to NSW, will get to Goulburn tomorrow. Slight hiccup with the trailer today, otherwise no drama on the trip. Looking forward to Oz50.

Finally started to assemble the engine for my project, fitted the pistons into the bore and torqued up the bearings. Its now starting to look like an engine.

Found the origin of a large puddle of fresh water that was pooled under the van. It came from two leaking emergency water bottles I had stashed in the speaker boxes.
