Fitted the remote gear change. One last bolt will need a bit of work.
Tightened up the engine mounts. Fit now and no elongating of holes was necessary.
Fitted passenger side universal but will have to take of drivers hub to fit that side.
Exhaust not coming up to the exhaust manifold. Will need to reposition middle mount ate rear.
Can now refit oil filter, generator, starter motor and distributor.

Steering cowl restoration nearly done (for George when he gets home). Wheel bearing caps banged, shaped and painted (for Dot). I know that no-one will see them but I know what they looked like.

George is still at the upholsterers.

got my minitastic springs in the post. Fitted the rear ones and will fit the front's later in the week/weekend.

I came home and the package that they came in had been put under the door mat. Funny because the box was a bit large to be under a door mat!

Mucked around with the wiring and alarm system. A lot of work to go but thats the fun of a universal setup I guess.

Then I stared at my rust and mind powered it to disappear. It didn't.

Took rear number plate flap off to weld bracket back on, will not try to straighten again while fitted to bootlid.
Working out fitting of oil line using existing grommet for tacho wiring- using a boot type grommet.
Will need to make new plate for gear change boot and old one cactus and a bit small. PO made a hash of cutting the hole.

Push started it up and down the servo.

Knew I should have just filled up with the car on, damn those warning signs.

Received my eBay purchase today - original mini jack. Sand blasted it back to bare metal ... nice. Painted some other bits. Dot is still on stands - maybe today I will put the rear wheels on.
