Spent the morning with GR who ground a cam for me....so interesting to see the process happen in front me. Looked so easy , but sure it's not! Well maybe after you've done it thousands of times.....
Also caught up with Dr mini at GRs and bartered some goodies.
Then went to Miniclassic to get my SCCR gbox underway.
Great morning hangin with helpful , enthusiastic people!

A bit more fiddling with the Morris 1100 today, it is now almost happy to putt around town quietly in 4th gear without jumping and shaking!

Replaced the boot seal with a more squishy one and then refitted the boot to the car
Hope to fit the bonnet tomorrow

Had a visit from a compulsive Cooper S restorer, he left empty handed.
I seem to think he was more impressed with the Montego.

Got the wife's 1412 stroker nearly ready to lift out... :P
No hurry, I'll finish it tomorrow..
Then I have a bit of underbonnet paint touchup to do, and my 1360 will go back in during the week. More HP, noise and rpm.
What, me a hoon? At my age?? :P

Slap some P plates on for the enhanced hoon effect.

Spent the past 6 hours fitting hilos and adjusting them.
They are a damn pain to adjust.

Pulled out all the carpet and underlay and hit the rust on the floor with the angle grinder and wire wheel. Then painted the floor in rust kill.

There's a rust repair needed at a later stage but I will have to leave that till I sort out a welder

Pulled the dizzy, cleaned and readjusted the points, reset with the timing light. Gee it goes a bit better now that the points are back to 0.016" gap (they had closed up to 0.008")

Fitted the wiper motor and washers and then connected them all up
Next I fitted some extra stabilizer mounts between the gearbox and subframe
Maybe fit the bonnet tomorrow

Besides building a mini raft I thought I had better start on the door rubbers and paint the edge thing that clamp on the door frame green. Like they were originally.

Installed new RH window regulator (PO tried to install the left hand one -__-) Fixed the doors inside and out, as well as the locks. Remove the boot for painting and undercoated the bonnet. Eliminated some more rust, filled some dings, getting there :)
