This is the factory original GT steering wheel you need Anton. It has a small Leyland symbol in the middle.

Cool!

is that wheel upside down?

I have a MINT one of those center pads. It wasn't only GT's that got that style wheel was it?

I recently aquiered an accident damaged clubman shell - no front
Hydrolastic suspension.
Spot welded mounting points for RH fuel tank. (not bolted behind seat)
Pop rivit holes where the boot board mounts were.
Original kermit bright green.
And the following numbers behind the master cylinders.
M2
23
1162.
Is this a Clubman GT body - what do the numbers mean?

I'm guessing that if doesn't have a front on the car then there would be no comp plate or rad shroud. Shame.

 ....silly me.....I read that but it just didn't click..... :P

IMHO, if the plate and rad shroud is missing, it aint the real deal......even if it WAS a 100% GT. :(

Look for other small signs it was a GT. Under the rear seat, on the upright panel, there should be 1 pop rivet on the passenger side of that panel. Apparently for the elec fuel pump. No rivet or evidence of one previously being there, possibly not a GT.

It's a breather for the electric pump, can't recall if it's a `pop rivet' though..
If wiring loom remains are in the car there will be a wire in the back part that feeds the fuel pump. No other Clubbys had that wiring.

AS the DOC says it's a breather for the electric pump. It's not a pop rivet but a type of PUSH rivet like they use on most new cars these days to hold all the plastic bits together. It has a hollow stem that connects to the pump breather pipe. The hole under the seat is about 1/2" dia.
I think most OZ built minis that used the rear subframe mounted SU electric pumps had the breather. Real early Minis used a different electric SU pump, a PD? type, not the later AUF type. Don't know if the PD type used a breather.

Regards
RonR

I had an early 850 with PD pump- no they had no breather. Most 850s then got the AUF pump because the PD was a POS and was not repairable either.

The same colour as the interior trim and the seat belts.
