Well regarding that line bore job Doc mentions, it sounds like it's coming just not on the motor!
Sounds like swapping the motors over, then diagnosing the old motor is the best way Joe.

the cheapest solution to your problem is to get a bus pass so you can get to work hassle free.

Get tiny's motor out and cleaned ready and painted. Then it should take you no more than a day to do the swap. Not hard to do. Then pull down the vans motor, and diagnose the problem from there. At the moment there is a lot of speculation as to what the problem is. You will not no for sure until the motor is pulled down.
