OK, What you see here is a professionally developed Crossflow head for the popular A-series 1275/1300 head. Made in the USA. It is similar to crossflow heads that were available back in the 60's but it is made of lightweight aluminum alloy rather than Cast iron and the design has been much inproved. This head was created using gas-flow porting technology and the results have been spectacular. What is nice about this head is that it allows you to use your existing exhaust system unlike other heads of the past. It is designed for simple installation and will fit in the cramped engine bay of the MINI when fully assembled with webers. The mounting flange accepts to Weber DCOE or equivalent carbs. They bolt right on with the included studs and nuts. As mentioned above, this head comes from us three different ways and the later two are most popular. We do not recommend oversized valves as this head flows air so well, using large valves has proven to be counter-productive on an engine dyno. We guaranty your satisfaction!
These light-weight (15 lbs.) high strength aluminum alloy cylinder heads run cooler, allow higher compression ratios, and have extremely increased flow rate over stock heads. Heads come with silicon-bronze valve guides and hardened valve seats.
Standard size 1275 valves, springs, and retainers are used or recommended. NGK spark plugs are included. Significant cooling is achieve which is through better heat transfer and coolant flow. This is extremely valuable in the cramped engine bay of a mini.
