I recently fitted a 12g295 head to my 850 and also found a set of twin 1.25's for it, Does anyone know of the right needles and springs to use as a starting point.

Also has anyone had problems fitting LCB's to mini's with rubber/plastic uni's.
Mine dont clear the UNI.

Is bloody close on mine millimeters once the intermediate pipe is on and all bolted up. No room for worn rubbers or engine movement.

Vizard recommends,
Blue spring and E3 neddle for 850 + modified big valve 998 Cooper head + full race cam + extractor's
or
Blue spring and M neddle for any thing smaller

Did anyone come to the bottom of the 'mine wont even spin' problem. I thought i had plenty of room, but no... they wouldnt spin at all.

Since then i have torqued up the wheel nut and it is much better, but still, VERY close.

No room for engine movement?? I only have 1 stabiliser, there isheaps!!

Any tricks?

re the engine movement- if fitting an LCB etc you have taken away the 850's 2nd most important steady- the 1 piece exhaust system... and you will probably have lots of leak problems where the engine pipe joins the LCB.
No, I am not joking- I ran one for years.
A lower steady (or a top Clubby one at least) is a good addition.

re the room problem at the U/J, I would use a freeflow type instead- its single downpipe gives you a bit more room there.

My knuckle bolts are still hitting exhaust (exhaust not yet bolted up, but i have it sitting on 'things' in about the right spot.

Also slightly off topic, but sort of attachments are used to mount exhaust at these points in pic.

I was just wondering beccausee other cars i have, have a rubber suspender for the rear of the exhaust not a solid mount. I don want to fit the wrong type!

Also, where do these 'extra' engine steadys bolt onto the engine and firewall/

The engine i have is an 1100 from a van (i think it is a clubby van)i would assume this needs more streadys, cause it rocks about a bit :")

the Clubby top steady goes from a bracket on the firewall (where heater hoses go in, or LHD master cylinders mount) to a bracket under the thermostat housing.
There are 2 different ones here depending whether it's a smallbore or 1275 head.
