I went to install my new clutch master cylinder plastic type, to find it wont fit with a tandem brake cylinder, i also have a brand new brake master cylinder(single type), so what i want to know is how to i convert back to the single setup, also on my clubman the brake switch is under the brake pedal, so i guess i dont need the mech type on stop switch, also my tandem master cylinder has a brake fail switch, which i assume i just dont connect up, also do i need the anti lock thing at the bacl of the car. i am confused what i need to do so any help would be great

You can not legally go from dual circuit brakes to single circuit brakes. It is part of the ADR's.

You would need to change a few brake pipes to change to the single circuit.

If it's a 72 Clubby it should have single circuit anyway. So no worries.:)

Ah, OK. But,, my 77 van has single brakes...:)
Tandem one is BS anyway. Ask Brad....... he had NO brakes at all until he fitted new rear wheel cylinders.
