Ok, question did the ROH Contesta/Contessa rims come in different widths?
eg. 10x5, 10x5.5

Not sure about the width, but they did come in different offsets...an LS version and what i would say the standard one..

yeah, true
but all i see is 5" wide and i measured mine up and they are 5.5" so im not sure!?

The ones I've got are 5" between the bead faces and just over 5.5" across the whole wheel width. It is the 5" that the tyre bead sees that is the size the wheels are rated at.

I believe some of the Nb racers machine the LS offset ones and weld another inner part rim on, to get 5.5" width.

That's both brave AND skillfull to weld cast alloy bits together. Normally they are too full of micro-pores and silica for any sort of successful weld.

Some Nb racers are VERY resourceful..... Check out the cars that use normal offset Contestas, wide (as in S type) rear drums and STILL manage to fit all that under standard non flared rear arches....
