hey guys
i have been doing the inteerior (dont know how to speel it still) and thought about the air con/ heater, now my radiator has the normal, but the heater goes from a pipe that comes from the bottom of the radiator and then goes to the heatercore sounds normal eh, but it does nt go back to the engine or radiator goes to a pipe that is clogged by a screw that sit down near were your feet are under the carpet. that cant be how its ment to be and at the moment i heater core does nothing. i cant find any little holes for the water to go back in side of the radiator or the engine,

I'm not 100% sure but it sounds like the hose thats blocked off should go to the heater box inside the car. Thats probably why you're heaters not working.

The hose on the other side of the heater core should go to a fitting on the top drivers side of the cylinder head. Sometimes this is blanked off in place of the small brass fitting.

How did you get a temperature sender in there?

Sounds like it might be an 850 head , they didn't have a temperature sender . I've got a head somewhere here with a big nut welded to a bit of steel plate bolted onto the head where the heater hose normally goes and a temp sender in that , I'll just about bet that's what they did with yours .

Your ISP usually gives you some web space to play with - stick the picture there.

The early heads on the 850s had exactly that setup you described.
Heaters were a rarity in those days. From memory, I think the 850s with a heater had the temperature sender mounted in the top of the thermostat housing. Not sure if that type of thermostat housing is still available

I think Morris Minors used the same type of thermostat cover with a drilling for the temp sender. Minispares used to have them, but I can't seem to find them.

I bought one and its gooders. Temp sender in the top of the thermo housing and a capilliary in the head. Double redundancy...lol
