bourght my new project today...think its a 1968 car but not sure..

so far it seems to be an ok buy..as i got it from ebay...
cars pritty solid..but needs some minor work..sills both sides..battery box..and rear valance setion under rear bumper..as its gone in the corner..and a tiny bit in the boot...
all floors look ok though..

car is in undercoat but will need to be sanded back again as its been out in the weather.

ive cleaned the build plate on the car but i dont know what it all means so hoping someone out there does..

from top to bottom they read as follows

YMA2S2

31313

9YA/Ta/H/32440

1/INDIGO BLUE/3

GUSE THE LAST IS A COLOUR CODE??

Yup that's one of the last Deluxes, late 67 or as you say 68 from my book, Eng number and chassis in similar range, so probably original engine? does it match the plate??

Is that the one that was in bits in primer on E-bay?

Re the colour code 1/Indigo Blue/3

The prefix gives the paint type and the suffix gives the manufacturer
The 1 means it is Enamel (Baked)
The 3 means it was made by Berger, since taken over by Dulux along with several others.

Hope this helps
