Just hoping someone here had experienced with the above alarm or can recommend something better but not that expensive.

I wouldn't get any of them now purely because everyone now knows what you could have.

Well i'd go the viper, i dont work for viper but i do sell these and if you get it installed professionaly you get a lifetime warranty.

Another good alarm to check out is the Boomerang Alpha 1000, although I think that they are selling the 2000 model now. I had one installed in my last toy and had no worries at all with it - it worth paying the few extra $ it costs to purchase.
Coverage is alot better and I liked how I could sinc it in to my mobile (much like the Rhino one I imagine).
Had a Viper in my last, last car - although not of the same standard as the one you've listed I had no dramas with it either.
Probably not the advice that you were chasing but I hope that it was of some slight use!

some insurance companies will actually state on their cover that an alarm must be met but some australia regulations standard - ie be all black wiring have several immobilisation points and be installed by a certified installer etc etc. id suggest ringing your insurer and seeing what they recommend and also ringing the local certified installers (you may pay a bit extra but at least you will have a warranty and piece of mind)

I've heard about installer must be certified installer for that particular alarm, but heard that a licenced auto sparky is sufficient enough for the job and insurance purposes.
