Man i dunno if i wanna be giving u advice with electrical stuff.... its harder then mechanical stuff, which u seem to already have dramas with.... and this can easily cause fires or at least melt wiring.

Why is ur starter wiring underneath ur guards anyway? If u cant find ur starter solenoid, ur not looking hard enough.

If u still have the standard starter, there will be a thick power lead about 30cm long running from the starter to the solenoid, this is where the battery 12v also connects to the rest of the car. Its pretty obvious.

Joe , just confirm that Tiny doesn't have a push button starter on the floor or anything ? The starter solenoid is normally on a bracket on the block , as you are looking at the engine from the front of the car it is normally 4" below and 4" to the left of number 4's spark plug . You can't miss it as it has the big cable from the starter motor going to it and another from it under the car . Just follow the big cable from the starter and you'll find it if it isn't in the normal spot . If the wiring is that bad maybe you should look at getting a nw wiring harness and replace what's there already before it causes you heaps of grief .
