can anyone tell me if this is the correct charcaol canister for a 1978 leyland mini s. And if it is do you know where the third tube goes to, i only know about the one to the petrol tank and the big one to the rocker.

Yes it is the right one for your model, 3 ports on top, one to the tank, one to the rocker cover & possibly one to the crankcase breather on the right side on the rear of the engine.

No Doogie, on a `78 the crankcase breather goes to the vac port on the side of the HS4 carb.
the 3 hoses on canister go to-
fuel tank vent,
rocker cover,
float bowl vent on carby. :wink:
