Bit embarrassed to be asking this but exactly what type of carbie is this. It came on a 1990 Rover Cooper 1275. I know it's 1" 3/4.

Cheers Pete

Hey - just on the side - I am bolting a HIF 44 to my rebuilt 998cc(1018 now and GR RE-13).

What needle do I have to run in this to let it run ok? I am using thie HIF as I want a bit of foolproof until I get the car all settled again, then the DHLA will go back on.

Hooroo

Looks like a HIF44.

The 44 refers to the metric size of 44mm. They were originaly called HIF-6 using the old SU imperial system.
The system used the number of 1/8ths of an inch above an inch.
So the 6 = 6/8ths which equals 3/4.
So you add 1 inch to it and you get 1 3/4"

So if it was referred to as a HIF 6 would I still get the correct parts? is it just the name that changed?
And I'm ditching the pod asap and going for a K&N cone filter

I am not sure if they just changed the name or if they redesigned the whole thing.

I believe on the HIF6 (as used on Metro turbo) the throttle arm is on the other side... compared to a regular HIF44.
