Got my 1 3/4 su on and tuned by a pro and it runs great but the idle position seems to only hold for a day at most.

is a lock nut on the idle screw the way to go? or can i loctite the idle screw in place? i'd use a medium strength loctite.

anyone got any ideas?

btw it's a 1275 with a cam, 1 3/4 su extractors etc etc so it's never going to idle smooth. i'd just like to get it set so it doesnt change everyday and i can pull up at the lights without having to heel toe to stop it stalling.

my 1310cc with works cam, twin 1 3/4 idels nicely all day long and it hasn;t been tuned in 7 years. so your pro should be able to sort it. Thats why I won;t let anyone touch my SUs since the car was rebuilt

Has your idle screw got a little coil spring between the head and the carby body. If not fit one. This stops the screw from vibrating out and up setting the idle setting.
