I have come across this Mini which is a 1971 model and the Vin Number looks too short. It is YG2S7 and the number is only 550. Even the number stamped on the Radiator shroud is just 550. Could this perhaps be one of the earliest Clubbies ? What number did they start from in Clubman production ?

I'd say it's around the 49th Clubman built, should be a 7/71 or so build date.

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

It sounds possible Tony , have a look at this thread which appears to show a very early clubbie . http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=43513
