Spray and wipe is going alright... a little slow though

What would everyone suggest?

Go to a auto store, in the polishing section find the Autosol metal polish, near that you should find Autosol vynil cleaner in a blue tube. Works really good on plastic too.

Meguireres Dash cleaner its a foam, works brililantly at removing scum and marks off interior vynils

Soap and water. You are trying to remove dirt, you are not trying to hurt the vinyl.
Most trimmers recommended using soap and water. A scrubbing brush will help as long as it is not too rough, I use a nail brush but some people will use a toothbrush for the seams.

Thinners, chemicals and a lot of other cleaning products will hurt the vinyl.

CRC So Easy Tire foam works quite well but makes it rather slippery.

Do NOT use thinners as morris has said, it has a tendancy to 'split' the colours in the vinyl, effectively making them run. soap and water, or go to the local supercrap and get a hold of some of the meguiars, or armor all vinyl cleaner, talk to lachie (caponix), i got him to use the same stuff and should see his results

Go to the supermarket and get some Gumption cleaner paste - in the household cleaning section.

It works a treat.

sunlight soap and warm water

Spray and Wipe with a small scrubbing brush. Once dry then spray with Armorall to return some moisture into the vinyl.

Nothing will return moisture to vinyl.
It is a myth to sell expensive cleaning products.

.....and if you've worked in the motor trade for dealers and replaced as many dash tops as I have you wouldn't use Armourall on anything.

thats interesting, i used amourall on my dash once, which then caused it o slowly warp... i think it started the process.

on the subject, i was going to post a new thread but i'll just hijack instead (insert rude emoticon) how about cleaning seats with dot-cloth bits? i took my seat covers off the other day and my chairs are FILTHY!!!
