Can anyone tell me the length of the hose that goes from the end of the pipe at the firewall near the blanking plate/heater hose entry. to the Y piece connection pipe for twin carbies? The engine is not in the car yet so I can't measure my own and I want to get the metal braided fuel hoses and they come in fixed lengths.

If you fit a fuel filter here, then two of the small 3" engths are all you need, other than that a 6" length will make the gap.

If you get a longer piece and wish to cut it down, it's not so hard. Wrap the hose in electrical tape just once where you want to cut it, cut the hose and slide the rubber boot over the electrical tape, then pull the tape out from under the rubber boot.

It will have to be a right angle fuel filter by the way. It makes for a neat fit.

I hope the hose inside these Bling things is rated for unleaded...
I trust the USA made hose with an SAE number instead. No Bling but they stay soft. 8)

I haven't pulled the braid off one of the hoses to find out, but it has been over 20 years now since unleaded joined the market....

I've never had a problem with the ones from Minispares anyway (touch wood)
