I'm wanting to put an HS4 on my van. I don't really want to be changing exhaust (standard pea shooter) at this stage.

Will a 1.25" stock inlet/exhaust manifold have the same size exhaust flange as a 1.5" stock inlet/exhaust manifold?

The later Leylands had a pea shooter and a 1.5 inch carb......I think the only time the exhaust size changed was on the 1275LS right?

put it on, and you'll find out.... there's a good chance the exhaust is the same size, but the exhaust manifold finishes in a different position

Maybe a good excuse to put the 3 in to 1's i've got sitting at home. Cut 1.5" manifold... Morris 1100 S/Mini Matic air cleaner box. 8)

Just cost me exhaust and carbie rebuild kit.

No no... don't let me think like that!

youll be able to find an exhaust manifold for a 1.5 easy, and they are pretty much the same, from memory as the 1.25 in respect to the exhaust outlet location.

exhaust sits pretty much centred in the rear of the motor. i have 1.5 plus peashooter on my car.

Vans sound awesome enough on a standard exhaust!

i did this the other day and its a straight bolt up.

remember the throttle and choke for the carb are on the other side, and you'll need some extra fuel pipe to reach the float bowl which is also on the opposite side.
