hey..

i have the proper New fuel pump putting out 2 to 4 psi from mini plus

had this problem with the old pump that was putting out 6.6 psi still got the same problem though.

they are dual 1-1/4 twin su's.

fuel keeps overflowing the passenger side of carby.

how can i stop this?

Probably an obvious question, but is the needle and seat good?
And are you definately hooking up the hoses the right way?

Take off the float bowl lid, put a bit of hose on the inlet, hold the lid upside down and blow into the hose, you should not be able to blow any air through.

it's all new recon etc.

i was told just before maybe it is sticking as the carbs sat for a while?

or the seal has gone?

I'd check it using the blow test, it's quick and easy, then you know if you need to look closer at the seal, really the carb sitting shouldn't make much difference,, but it might, check it out.

i thought maybe the float was sticking?

could that be something to look at also.

You will know as soon as you turn it upside down, it should freely sit down on the needle but not quite compress it (they usually have a little internal sprung pin)

Sometimes you can get a tiny bit of grit stuck in the needle valve and causes the leak.
Just a hit on the top of the float bowl with the handle of a screwdriver can often cure it.

fixed. needle has bit of crap sticking it down.
