im going to the big day out on the weekend but have a small problem in that i cant find anywhere to put my water temp sender unit.. when i rebuilt the 998 i cleverly put the head on without a hole for it  i need a solution as i dont like driving the car without knowing all the vitals are right, so, can i run a t piece in the heater pipe with the sender clamped in on a bit of hose or does anyone have a better solution, keeping in mind that i cant really drill a hole in anything and tap it because i dont really want metal filings in my cooling system

any help would be great

cheers

sean

I think it might be Morris Minor.

That is wright you can buy thermostat covers with hole on it for the sender unit. Give Mini plus a go

When I did put 95 model 1275 it did not have the hole for the sender unit too. So I did put one of these. Works great

I have a couple of heads here with a plate on the heater outlet with a large nut of the appropriate thread welded to it . I know it's a bush mechanics fix but it does the job .
