Can I please get somone to measure something on a rod change setup for me?
I need a measuremenent from the pivot point of the gear lever (nominal centreline) to the front of the internal crossmember (the face where the seat mounts go).

If I take a stab in the dark I'd be guessing it somewhere in the 5-6 inches range.

Thanks.
:D

A template from a rod change car would be the best way???

You're trying to work out where to put the holes for the cotton reel mounts?

Not far off.
My deluxe had remote mounting and I'm going the rod.
My holes may be a fraction out from normal because my engine sits tilted forward a bit, but just for playing round at the moment I'm after its mounting location.

Measuring to the stick is better for me as I don't know how I'll make the bracket to hold it yet (exhaust seems to hit).

I've got a few with rod changes here you could measure/take a template from, come round and have a look if you like.
