Is there a difference in front pully seals between pulley types. Eg harmonick pulley, S pulley

I have the factory churchill seal installer and its too small.

Thanks

Diameter wise they were all the same on A Series fitted to Minis.

Positions were all the same, and the holes should all be the same (as all the 5/16" UNF ones actually go through the plate and in to the block), however note that there was a later timing chain cover around the time of the A+ to include the tensioner, while the holes were in the same places on the engine plate, there was an additional hole in these later ones. They are interchangable, just need to dril a hole in the early engine plate when used with the later cover.

Thanks for your help.

I went out to the garage and had a closer look I can see how the tool works, it centres the seal via the out side of the cover not the shaft,

I tried it once and I could not get things to line up, just tryed on my set up motor and it aligns perfectly so will see how I go when i re install the front cover hopefully no more leaks from the front pulley

Have tools got too use them
