Im running out of things to do... So now it seems Im starting to pull my car apart again... Going to replace the door hinge gaskets. How much adjustment is there of the hinge on the body itself?? I dont mind aligning the door, but didnt really want to upset the hinges on the body..

Also Im not 100% happy with how the door frame sits on the drivers side, I think it needs to be bent inwards just a fraction... Anyone got any good ideas on how to go about doing that? Ive already wedged a piece of time in between the frame and the door to keep it ajar, then I backed off the bolts for the quarter glass and tried to bend the door frame inwards.. Its pretty tough....

Careful, this could turn into another restoration!

As for the door frame, I have NFI :?

Are you going to put on new rubber gaskets under the hinge? or will you use something else this time?

those rubber ones look fairly "mushy" did they used to bulge out from under the hinges?

I would go the paper ones before I went with the rubber ones. The paper doesn't tend to deform as much when you tighten up the nuts.

Im going to replace them with the same style if possible. Otherwise Id need to remove the other door and remove the hinges from the body.... I dont really want to do that... They did mush out a bit but when they were new they were ok. That have been on the car for 9yrs.

If the state of your garage is an indication of how hard you work in it, then I'm like a madman on the tools!

Nope, the seats are fixed backs and also mounted to the floor at all four corners. Plus the harnesses prevent rear seat use.
