ok, some help please

my dad bought a fan belt at auto barn for a leyland mini, i assume the same size? looks thicker a bit? code is Bosh 11A0815

his mini is a Rover Mini

the Bosh belt did look thicker when i put it on & i'm sure i tensioned it right.

so he has been driving the car and the radiator. is boiling i can hear it bubbling inside.

i watched him today and he poured some coolant in half a bottle 200 mill with out mixing it just topped it, had coolant in it before, you think thats it?

or the fan belt?

You didn't put it on back the front did you

Have a listen to the water pump while the engine is running, screwdriver held up to ear, see of something has let go inside, sounds a bit strange if you just changed the Fan belt...try and put the old one back on again and see if its the same..????

yes well i did the same thing to my car and it's been happy days.

just seems odd, i replaced his and it's doing this.

if they are to loose can that cause a problem? i made it tight and i cant hear any belt slip, maybe to tight.

will check all this in the morning for him.

Did you take the fan off at all?
