Am I correct in saying that the subframe (twin bolts on each tower) mounts directly to the body with nothing between the body and the subframe?

No rubber or polybushes between body and subframe?

I can't recall what I took off it was so long ago!!

Some Mini's I have disassembled have had metal plates, others have had none.
I think I put it down to the Leylands having plates rather than Morrises.
But I am also known to be wrong at times.

Someone will put the correct answer up soon! :)

The Ozzy Dry Subframes have a spacer about 1/4" thick . In shape it is similar to the lock plate that goes on top of the bulkhead.

I'll try and get a pic up later.

Ozzy wet subframes mounted straight up. The tower top is a completely different pressing. No spacer is used.

The towers on the wet subframes are actually a little taller (about 1/2") than the dry ones.

They'll be hiding with all the valve caps you've ever lost
