Got new discs coming. I have overhauled and refurbished the front drum brakes including new hoses. And haven't even bled them - is there a big difference between disc and drum hoses - will I need new hoses for discs?

I believe originally they were different lengths, but that these days they are commonly sold as the longer length to suit both types.

Or maybe they were always the same length, but what is on the car should be fine.

Disc hoses are a little longer. It's more common than not however to get disc hoses these days, so check to be sure you haven't already got the longer type already by chance.

Drum hoses (being longer) when used with discs can rub on the tiebars. But a bit of judicious hose rotation fixes that.

At one stage in Australia the hoses were superceed to the one Number, and some people only sell the one length Hose, Mini King offer both hoses Long = Drum
Short = Disc
