Bolted my motor to the box the other night.

The good Doc popped in today for a check up.......said "Did you fit that O ring...."

I said "what O ring Doc?"

He said "That one right there in your gasket set pack!:

  :x

Had to seperate the motor and box tonight and fit the damn thing!!! :x

Wasn't too hard though.

Cheers Kev for timing the cam.

She's comin' together!

black round rubber ring

this one seals the oil flow tube in the top of the gearbox housing.

yea we flipped it all over so box is up in the air. It was no big deal to undo the bolts and lift off the box then back on.

not true if you dont fit it you get a big leak. if you dont fit it you get no oil pressure as the pump cant suck the oil up.

bet you wont forget it again.

oh yea....no oil pressure.....thats right..... you did say that.

But.....no oil pressure 'could' lead to a piston through the block.....then it would be a big oil leak!!!

That and putting the thrust washers in back to front seem to be the common "oops i sure made a mess of that" mistakes. I must remember to do the same.

Cheers
