Does anyone know the correct colour for '62 850 Engine? I would like to paint it while it's out.

A few topics here that I searched out. Brunswick Green is a good start. POR have a good version as well.

Gee, you did better than me. I could only find body colours. Out of curiosity, which search terms did you use? I used 'engine colours'.

And mine is a light blue beneath the dodgy red. It kind of looked old so I was wondering if it was original.

And love the POR. I can get it just around the corner from work. They do a really good aluminium colour for motorcycles. Just brush it on and it evens itself out.

I used the google search: site:ausmini.com 850 engine colour

I wish I knew about the POR myself, I have my engine painted in a White Knights dark green colour (maybe Sherwood?) but it isn't the same.

Doh! The google search. I didn't think to try that one.

Whoever did the light blue before the dodgy red did a cracking job. looking at it, you would swear it's original. Still, BMC green it will be. Green looks more period anyway. I'll post up the result in a few days.

Hey Flash,

Was looking through the POR engine enamel options but couldn't find a BMC Green..! Have you got a more extensive colour listing than they have on their website? Wishing they had it in the light metallic green which was on the cooper motors!

Cheers

Steve

I really should get onto that search function...

We have an error in the site database which kicks it out of the indexing search it does to make the search work correctly. Hence anything after about 2005 doesn't come up...
