Getting the final set up on my car done and with just 1 degree caster the front wheels (10X6) are very close to fouling the front of the arch when on full lock.

1 degree doesn't cut it, has zero self centering, but if I aim for the 3 or 4 or whatever is recommended, the wheel will shift further forward, yeah?

Anyone any idea how much the wheel will shift forward with a 2 or 3 degree increase in caster?

Postive caster means the bottom of the hub trails the top...so, as you increase caster, the wheel moves back.

4 to 5 deg is what you want.

Cheers, Ian

I learnt positive takes lower point forward.
Anyway, if the tyre does touch you can cheat a smidgen by putting spacers in frame. I did that with mine, got about 10mm extra, without problem.
