If the brackets are riveted on can you drill them out from the back?

Go to your local SCA , Repco etc and get one of those plastic trim removal kits
has a few different types in them
or you could go to a barber and ask him to shave your whiskers :D :D

Thank you for the helpful and not so helpful replies.

I was hoping to not have to drill out the rivets, as I only need to remove them so I can replace the moustache which goes under the whiskers.

Hi Mark, did you end up selling your marvellous S ?

Wrap some rag around a flat blade screw driver and pop them off, refit by giving them a tap with a rubber hammer.

Put some masking tape around the whisker first to protect the paint, then with a thin small paint scraper slide this under the edge of the whisker so you have something to lever against rather than your paint. if you now take your time with a similar thin bladed screwdriver or another paint scraper you will pop it enough to do your task.
