getting the 850 ready for pink slip inspection. have not driven it since i got it off the trailer from Hay. Some of you may recall that the dome nut on the lower left ball joint unwound on the trailer on the way back.
i went to put it all back together but it looks like the thread is crossed on the hub.
on top of this when i inspected the other ball joints, the right side lower was not locked by the tab at all, and both top ones barely had a bit of the tab toucking the flat of the nut
i thought about cleaning the thread up with a die, but i reckon its better off getting some two leading shoe drum hubs off a deluxe or a K. NO it will not have discs put on it, i want it to look reasonably original. anyone got some they don't need? anyway it has to wait until after i move house and get the new garage, just don't have the time now.
