Old RWD pushrod motor Corollas from the 80s- either the 1108? cc or the 1.3L. Were K2 & K3 motors I think.
They used to go for $20 a set at the wreckers- last set I got a few years ago cost me $50. Probably are scarcer & more $$ now.

As I said, there's a lot of work to do them properly, the Mini rocker shaft needs moving back 3.5mm by plugging welding and remachining the posts, or by making new ones from scratch. Do NOT use old alloy 850 ones turned around- they don't hold head stud tension properly.
The rockers need 1 side faced off, then bushed back from 16mm to 9/16" dia to suit a HD thick wall rocker shaft.

There is a thread on this conversion- see viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3829&hilit=1.5+high+lift+rockers
See p4 for my machining procedure.
[edit] I will copy that bit and put in the how-to forum.

Try your local wrecker mate.
If they don't have any, there's a database I think they have listing who's got what.

I made my posts from scratch. You can by the material in the correct size. Drill all the holes then cut over size then machine in lathe. You then machine tapers in one go. You also need a mill to mill the tapers. Its a simple machining job with the right gear.

I am a Fitter and Turner and have my own workshop full of machinery
So this isn't a problem
I don't want to pull my car apart to get samples of the posts etc
That why I want to go the Corolla route
I have been restoring old Indian Motorcycles for the last 35 years and do all my own engine work including boring Blind End Cylinders, Alloy welding, etc
This is the second mini i have owned
the first one was about 40 years ago when i was a school kid

Gundy,
I found it's easier to mod original posts, as I said in that thread. I did make about 4 sets of new steel ones, but it took too long to machine. I could only find black bar at work that was oversize, and so I milled it all down at home.
If you could buy steel the right section that would be easy.
Critical thing when making them is the shaft hole is parallel to the base, and in the same correct position on all 4 posts.
[ps. I'm a fitter & machinist too].

[edit] My machining details are now in the how-to forum. Saves wading through that 9 page thread. Thanks Mick!

Dammit. I forgot to say that it seems the Jonspeed rockers were just a pipe dream... I tried to buy a set - for over a year....
