Hi all,

Just wondering what's involved with converting from auto to manual. Is it simple or so different that it is not worth it? I would be on an 88 Rover mini

Cheers

Mechanically:
If you want to fit a manual engine + gearbox you will either need a manual Rover subframe , or else modify the one you have to take the manual gearbox mounts (your auto subby is wider than a manual one).

If you are referring to converting the existing auto motor (different oilways) to work on a manual gearbox, see my sticky thread at top of this forum.
[edit] Topic has disappeared, I will find out where it went...

Thanks for the reply. Yeah was looking at possibly purchasing an auto and wondered the implications of swapping it over to a manual. I'm probably better of looking for a manual

Cheers

Here's that auto block to manual thread, apparently all the sticky threads came loose when transferred to the new forum and slid down the listing..
