I'm almost certain my 1971 Mini K did not have a BL logo. After all it was a Morris...
But then again, it was 30 odd years ago.

Yes I had a steering wheel which was taken from a 1973 Leyland Mini, similar, but had "leyland australia" instead of "british leyland". I've heard them known as "Boomerang" style steering wheels, the earliest of that style were used on the Mini Ks and Mk2 Autos which a large "BMC". Apparently this padded centre was a safety feature, you will notice the spokes dip downward, away from a whiplashing head.

but....what is that wierd lump/shadow under the gearstick gaiter?

I had a mini K that had that floor, was amazing with its detail and ribs. Was falling apart so I chucked it but was so easy to clean.

I remeber at the time someone waz looking at making them???
