Hey guys.
I got some good pricing from MED for a group buy for dog gearkits.
http://www.med-engineering.co.uk/produc ... t-gear-kit
Pricing is as follows:

We can always work with you on the prices for the dog boxes. Please see below;
1 off price £1,300.00
3+ off price £1,200.00
5+ off price £1,075.00

There will be small freight and GST to add but will in the range of 180 quid cheaper than list price.
Total cost will be divided by parties so I am not looking to make anything out of it.
Call or txt me if you are interested. 0414 859 726
cheers Ben

What sort of comparison to a std gear set ratios do these have?
Our dog engagement gear set has the following ratio’s
◾1st 2.239
◾2nd 1.568
◾3rd 1.244
◾4th 1.1

for comparison
clubman gearset ratios

1st 2.583

2nd 1.711

3rd 1.250

4th 1.0

so higher first and second gear... good for holding onto second for longer but a bit more lazy off the lights

and also from minispares site
The stock helical "S" box has a first gear ratio of 3.2:1, second gear 1.916, third 1.357. The "S" 3 sync close ratio kit has a first gear of 2.573:1, second 1.722 and third 1.255; these numbers mean closer ratios to keep you in the torque range,,,,,,,

so these are very similar to 3 synchro

I could pull almost 60 mph in first gear if I revved it out with the sc/cr 3 synchro box in my S. Rarely needed to use the clutch to change gears, up or down, you just knew when the revs were right. And never missed the lack of synchro on first, just double de clutch and in it went on those rare occasions when needed.
