So I bought one of these

You need to go through an inspection hole above the clutch cover.

That is a good timing light. I have the same one.

Yes but there is not much room with the booster in the way. Some mini places sell a mirror that attaches to the opening.
I would find TDC first by taking out the No1 spark plug and placing a long straw or stick in the hole then with the car in gear rock it forward until it reaches its highest point. Then get a torch and have a really good look at the marks on the flywheel. Mark the TDC with some white paint or white out.

There is a pre-made mirror you can buy. I found the timing mark, and then made a pointer and mark on the crank pulley to make it a bit easier. You only need TDC marked with a dialback timing light like the one you've bought.
