I think the gaurds will be harder as they have been chopped for the big wheels. need to replace the fenders and a panels.

Won'tbe going for a drive, checked all the fluids and the engine started straight away but when driving it back into the shed i used the brakes and the front left locked on hard and would release, good news laid my first burnout....lol

Had to jack it up and take the wheel off, couldnt shift the pads back until i cracked the nipple... would this mean that the fliud is unable to return the to master? or is this common for a car that hasn't been driven for years?

Any way... check out what was under the seat covers.

I'd be saying something is stuck in the Hydrolics and i would guess it would be the master. Was the Peddle floppy. Its not the piston in the brake as you released the pressure by undoing the nipple and the piston came back which is why I think the master.

That seat looks Perfect. Put the cover back on it

I'm 90% sure brake issue will be a hose, they break down internally and act like non return valves, best to look at the caliper pistons too, make sure no corrosion on chrome plated piston sides.

Seats look right to me, I think the door cards too, later mk1 style as opposed to single heat indented 'flash' on earlier Mk1 cards.

Should be a great car! Good luck! 8)

Yes, the seat trim and door cards are correct for a late 67, they are the later Mk1 type. You are lucky as the earlier door trims are heat welded and more difficult to replicate if needed.

That was a popular colour to paint a Cooper S back then. It looks like Portsea Blue, a EH Holden Premier colour. My mk2 was painted that at some stage. Will be taking it back to Crystal White.
