Just got my renewal for my 1988 mini cooper, its on club plates with a 45 day permit. They want $399 for full comprehensive insurance with Lumleys Special Vehicles, does that sound about average with what everyone else is paying

I've got NRMA vintage insurance on my car (as all our other cars and the house is with NRMA) and on NSW club rego. Agreed value of $10k and the premium is $96 a year and I'm under 30...

NRMA offered me about $170 even on club plates, over 30

Must be the Sydney metro location making for higher than the 96 above

Good old Flapper. That is cheap. I suppose they work on you can't drive them all at once. A bush fire would wipe them all out in one hit. Ouch.

We do get a good discount for having that many....as for bush fire, not a real concern, we have our place fire ready, and also very clear of grass :) :)

Hi Davo,
Just got my renewal from Shannons. Comprehensive on Club Permit (90 days). Agreed value (perhaps a bit low and I may up it a bit), salvage rights etc.
$163.79. Bit of a difference to yours ?! Not sure Werribee will be or should be higher risk than Glen Waverley. Maybe should be the other way around given some recent happenings around here !

I'm also with Shannons. Lumley used to be good value but I don't think so now.

Ditto Doc,

Lumleys was the best value previously and with a great policy... but Shannons now best value for my needs.

Definitely worth shopping around. Got a quote from Ryno insurance which was similar to Shannons......

I expect mine to be closer to that next year, hopefully
