As per the title......I am getting a rattle/vibration noise from the RH front when I accelerate then brake lightly.
When I apply more pressure the noise disappears.
I have the Minisport 8.4" slotted vented discs and 4 piston calipers.
I have a feeling the outer pad is rattling. It is loose when the car is at a standstill without the brakes applied.
All bolts are on the calipers and suspension are tight.

Has anyone else had this noise? If so what did you do to stop it?

Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers.

If that top photo is the finished install you're missing the spring/anti rattle plate that goes between pads and circlips.

If you cant get one to fit, just get some anti-rattle stuff that looks like double sided tape foe between the pistons and pads.

When I bought my greenstuff pads recently it came with some thick duct tape like material that you stick to the back of the pad and trim as needed. Works a treat although I didn't have anything on my black stuffs and they were fine?

There is no pulsating or feeling of warped discs so I don't think it is runout. I can get the noise doing less than 15kms when coming to a stop and It sounds like a vibration. At first I thought it was my plastic wheel arch liners vibrating or even the front grille. I removed these but it still made the sound. It kind of has that tin/metal sound to the vibration.

Do they suit the mini sport calipers? I have the original Rover ones but they don't fit the Minisport calipers. Thi split pins are further apart

HERE is the 7.5 inch version - note the anti rattle plates shown in the bottoms image.
They could be compatible - shoot minisport.com.au or mini sport.com an email for the proper gear

Mine were noisy too. It's the split pin at the front and the pads moving slightly. Noise goes away when the pads have pressure on them. It's just how those brakes are. Nothing I tried fixed it.

Those Pads are the same as the Metro pads. you can see where the brake pad wear switch wires have been cut off. Metro 4 Pots have that necessary clip you are missing. You can see the correct clips in this link. http://www.minimania.com/part/C-AJJ4029 ... ersion-Kit

I am in Adelaide later this week and will see f Minisport have them. I fitted the adhesive pads but it didn't fix the vibration/rattle.

Hmm, I have never noticed mine. Mind you I may now seeing as I can hear things that aren't the rattle of the horn button now that I replaced the stalk. I don't appear to have the 'spacer' in mind either. apologies for the bad angle, only photo I have with me.
