Can anyone tell me if these all rotate the same direction from the input to the out put. In other words are they all non reversing or do I need to be aware of reversing angle drives in this model angle drive. I'm trying to find one and don't want to end up with one reversing the direction of the speedo.

Which item specifically are you enquiring about? Who is the manufacturer, etc? I have one of these devices and it turns the speedo in the right direction, but more than that I cannot say.

Cheers

Hi David,
Trying to work out exactly which model it is I need. I am finding a number of angle drives as per picture in first post. I have how ever come across a couple that look to be the same Smiths angle drive but worm gear sits other side of the gear. But as per the picture in first post seems to be the one I need.

I used a similar one when I had a Weber on my S.
The part No on the pic is a Smiths part No and should give the same direction of rotation.
The input cable has to drive the speedo needle in an anti-clockwise direction looking at the rear of the speedo otherwise the speedo needle would be driven in the opposite direction to that required.
I would think that all Smiths speedos with the rotating magnet and disc drive for the speedo needle would need the cable rotating in an anti-clockwise direction.
There would be no point in having a right angle drive that reversed the direction of rotation of the output shaft.

I don't know the answer to your question but the one I have came from a Jaguar and it works (got it because I had to clear the speedo cable from the weber..)

Thanks for the feedback, I have ordered one from eBay as pictured. I will let you know how it goes once I receive it.
