That's more of a thermal insulation Gordo, doesn't do alot for sound.

Depends on what part of the units, we are talkin about here.... The duct insulation is more for thermal insulation, but in the compressor compartment in the condensing units (the outdoor units) the insulation used there is mainly for the sound insulation, its a little of both but mainly for sound, and considering i can get it for next to nicks ill take what ever i can get...

True, if it's free go for it :lol: I haven't bothered about any sound proofing on mine yet, I love the sound :wink:

what about bitumen based sparays like the VHT and KH ones? Say inside the doors, behind the door cards and on the back seat panel? do they do anything?

I used that stuff in my doors, since I removed one door skin, it was quite easy to get in there and spray :lol:
