I finally did it and bought all my paint for J_A_M.

Anyone thinking about painting their car? When you add up everything, I mean all paint, primers, thinners and other stuff its around $400. OUCH! I had to sell a whole lot of crap on ebay to pay for it all!

1 HONDA MILANO RED Clubby, coming right up!

I got 3 quotes. One from there, one from my usual paint supplier (Hunter Holden - Ryde) and one from a local Auto One.

I went with the cheapest, and it wasn't V G Auto Paints.

Nice colour choice. The cost of paint always adds up to more than you think though. Good luck with the spray job.

Too right, You think paint is $180 for 4L, but then you need to add everything else.....my list was HUGE!!

theres actually a logical physical solution to that saying...

in the colour spectrum, the colour red travells the fastest due to the shorter wavelength or frequency.....

LOL...it doesnt mean that ur car will go faster though!!! it may look like it but im pretty sure there's no explanation for the colour red giving you an extra 10KW @ the wheels....only a big "Doran Pro Dic$He@d" on ur windscreen could achieve such a thing.

I know this 'coz the others (mostly) can't catch me down the straight at Wakefield Park...
so it must be true.
Car is even faster now- I'm taking the lower drip rails?? off the sides of the roof gutter. It's gotta save me at least 100g in weight- (less steel and rust)...

well actually, here is something to ponder.

A red base colour is the most expensive of any auto paint. The reason is that it has more lead content (to produce the red colour). This is what the boffin in the paint shop told me.

So.....if it has more lead, it will weigh more, thus making the car go slower!!!!!

So red cars aren't the fasest! Of course none of this applies to J_A_M....
